Since 1880 WMF has dealt with the preparation of coffee. The first WMF large coffee machine originates from the year 1927. Almost 30 years later, in 1955, the triumphant success of the WMF coffee machines began, when WMF took the espresso from Italy to the German catering sector-with the first fully automatic espresso machine. A vast number of groundbreaking innovations followed which was a worldwide success for WMF. Over 150 Years of experience in the tabletop and commercial super-automatic espresso machine industries has helped WMF mature into a leading worldwide supplier. Quality, design, and functionality are the basis of our business and product line.
In 2005, WMF introduced the 1400 series and discovered new markets. The compact designed WMF 1400 fulfills every need for every kind of coffee - in hotels, restaurants, bars, office environments etc. The integrated chocolate hopper was again a worldwide innovation. The WMF 1400 series can be seen across continents due to its flexibility, even offering a green tea in Japan.
The WMF Bistro! was introduced in 2008 and is the newest in the professional line of WMF espresso equipment. It creates a brand synergy with similar software and features to the 1400, while offering additional speed, features, and power. The new Bistro! integrates a reliable steel brewing group, grinders, and boiler, with a new hot chocolate option, easy to program touch panel, illumination and the patented and newly released Plug and Clean.
